About 25×25 Masyu
A 25×25 Masyu grid has 625 cells. Your goal is the same at every size: draw a single closed loop through the centres of cells so that it passes through every pearl. Black pearls are corners with straight legs; white pearls are straight segments with a turn next to them. 25×25 boards are recommended for experts and marathon solvers who want the biggest Masyu challenge on the web.
| Difficulty | Puzzles | Average pearls | Typical time |
|---|---|---|---|
| Easy | 25 | 272 | 40–70 min |
| Medium | 25 | 219 | 60–110 min |
| Hard | 25 | 163 | 80–150 min |
Fewer pearls usually means a harder puzzle: there are fewer starting points, and more of the loop has to be deduced from global rules. Times are a rough guide for an experienced solver.
Tips for 25×25 boards
- Divide the board into quadrants and solve the forced pearl moves in each before thinking globally.
- Long white-pearl corridors near the edge often resolve as one unit.
- Take breaks — the timer pauses automatically when you switch tabs.
