MasyuPuzzles.com exists for one reason: to be the best place on the web to play, learn and master Masyu. We focus on a single genre so we can do it properly — a fast, beautiful board that works on every device, puzzles you can trust, and guides that actually teach.
How our puzzles are made
- Loop generation. Our engine grows a random, winding loop across the grid.
- Clue placement. Pearls are placed where the loop naturally turns (black) or runs straight beside a turn (white).
- Uniqueness refinement. A solver searches for any alternative loop. Whenever one exists, a pearl is added that rules it out.
- Difficulty tuning. Pearls are removed one at a time, keeping only those the logic needs. Easy puzzles keep extra pearls; Hard puzzles keep the minimum and require what-if reasoning.
- Verification. Each finished puzzle is re-solved by logic alone; anything that needs guessing — or duplicates an existing loop — is discarded.
